Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;font-size:12pt"><DIV><DIV><P STYLE="margin:0 0 14 0;"><SPAN>This data set provides an account of land use planning areas for which Ministry of environment has led or co-led planning processes. the following 5 have been formally approved by CDI or CII:</SPAN></P><UL STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;padding:0 0 0 0;"><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 14 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>The Amisk-Atik Integrated Forest Land Use Plan Area is situated in Northeastern Saskatchewan. It is bordered to the south by the Pasquia-Porcupine Integrated Forest Land Use Plan, to the east by the Saskatchewan-Manitoba provincial border, and to the west by the Misinipiy Integrated Land Use Plan.</SPAN></SPAN></P></LI><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 14 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>The La Ronge Integrated Land Use Management Plan area includes an approximate 11 km corridor on either side of highway #2 from the Junction of Highway #165 to Nemeiben Lake consisting mostly of Crown resource land but, also includes the developed areas of Lamp Lake, Eagle Point, Potato Lake, Napatak, Rabbit Creek and private titled parcels.</SPAN></SPAN></P></LI><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 14 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>The Misinipiy planning area encompasses 3,117,754 ha, situated in Northern Saskatchewan extending from Wapawekka Hills in the Southeast, Besnard Lake in the Southwest, Key Lake mine in the Northwest and Wathaman Lake in the Northeast.</SPAN></SPAN></P></LI><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 14 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>Nisbet Integrated Forest Land Use Plan boundary includes all of the Nisbet Provincial Forest, as described in The Forest Resources Management Regulations, which is approximately 80,000 ha in size.</SPAN></SPAN></P></LI><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 14 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>The Pasquia/Porcupine Integrated Forest Land Use Plan covers nearly 20,000 square kilometers, including the Porcupine Hills, the Pasquia Hills and part of the Cumberland House area.</SPAN></SPAN></P></LI></UL><P STYLE="margin:0 0 14 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>The following 5 have been initiated and are at various stages of development:</SPAN></SPAN></P><UL STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;padding:0 0 0 0;"><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 14 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>Athabasca Stage 1 Land Use Plan area is a 50 km wide road corridor covering a 15,000 square kilometers. It includes the northern portion of Highway 905, and runs along both sides of the seasonal road from Points North to Stony Rapids, and the winter road between Stony Rapids and Fond du Lac.</SPAN></SPAN></P></LI><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 14 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>The Buffalo Pound Lake Integrated Land Use and Resource Management Planning area includes Crown resource land adjacent the shore land of Buffalo Pound Lake in South central Saskatchewan.</SPAN></SPAN></P></LI><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 14 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>Clearwater-La Loche Integrated Land Use Plan area is defined by the Northern Fur Conservation boundary of N-19 block.</SPAN></SPAN></P></LI><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 14 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>Fort a la Corne Integrated Forest Land Use Plan area is defined by the Fort a la Corne Provincial Forest (FALC), part of the Boreal Transition Ecoregion, is a relatively small area of 132,502 hectares (ha).</SPAN></SPAN></P></LI><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 14 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>Pinehouse-Dipper Integrated Forest Land Use Plan area is located in the northwestern portion of the province, the Pinehouse-Dipper Planning Area covers approximately 1,100,000 hectares (ha). The Metis communities of Patuanak and Pinehouse, along with the English River First Nation (ERFN), are situated within the planning area boundaries, while Ile-a-la-Crosse, Beauval and Buffalo Narrows are located along the perimeter just outside the planning area.</SPAN></SPAN></P></LI></UL><P STYLE="margin:0 0 14 0;"><SPAN>The final plan was led by the Prince Albert Model Forest. The Ministry of Environment participated in this process and assisted where possible:</SPAN></P><UL STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;padding:0 0 0 0;"><LI><P STYLE="margin:0 0 14 0;"><SPAN>The PAMF area is located in the Mid-Boreal Upland Ecoregion of the boreal forest approximately 70 km north of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and covers approximately 366,000 ha.</SPAN></P></LI></UL></DIV></DIV></DIV>
