Portions of this dataset have been derived from the surface layer of the ISC Cadastral Product, the waterbody layer from the NTS50, the ROADSEG layer from the SURN, the PFRA boundaries and Sketches.
No omissions exist in the dataset. There is one omission noted in Wildlife_Management_Unit_gazette_errors.rtf. For parcels coded as pending, tobedet and transformed see Wildlife_Management_Unit_exceptions.txt for these issues.
ISC Cadastral - Surface; NTS50 - Waterbody_A; SURN - ROADSEG; LSD - Cadastral with routine; LLD - Legal Land Description
Some boundaries referring to water were derived from the NTS50 Waterbody Areas. In addition, some of the quarter section boundaries could not be found in the surface layer and were thus derived from the Devel-Tech Inc. routine. In some cases the legislation referenced specific roads to define a designation. When these roads were not in the ISC surface layer they were extracted from the SURN. When no boundary data as available a sketch was produced.
The referenced features where identified and exported into a new shape file(s) from the listed source files. If required, these files were integrated accordingly. We then added the appropriate Designated Area Name (DA_NAME), Source Type (SOURC_TYPE) and Unique Identifier (UNIQ_ID) attributes.
