This dataset is used to organize production data for the four oil and gas production regions in Saskatchewan.
Staff of the Ministry of Energy & Resources. Any products derived from the use of the data provided by the Ministry of Energy and Resources Saskatchewan Mining and Petroleum GeoAtlas/GeoPlanner, must be cited with the layers and date used to create those products. The ‘GeoAtlas’ and 'GeoPlanner' contain information licensed under the Government of Saskatchewan Standard Unrestricted Use Data License (Version 2.0). For Example: Saskatchewan Mining and Petroleum GeoAtlas, Petroleum Production Reporting Areas, March 2021.
<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>This dataset contains the boundaries of the four production reporting areas: Lloydminster (Area 1), Kindersley (Area 2), Swift Current (Area 3), and Estevan (Area 4), whose boundaries follow the Cadastre township grid. Production regions are used to organize oil and gas production volume and value statistical reports for all oil and gas activities in Saskatchewan. The dataset was created as a file geodatabase feature class and output for public distribution.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>

The projected coordinate system was defined, polygon extents were edited and reshaped to best-fit the Cadastre township boundaries, and digitizing errors, such as slivers between the field office areas were edited out before merging into a single polygon feature class.
